General Information

N,N-Dimethyltryptamine or DMT is a psychoactive substance and a substituted tryptamine.

It is most commonly classified as a psychedelic but also possesses some properties inherent to dissociatives.

Dosage

Oral

DMT is rapidly metabolized by MAO and should therefore be combined with a MAO-inhibitor such as Harmine when taken orally. Otherwise, the effects will be underwhelming or barely noticeable.

Time until onset: between 10 and 60 minutes, depending on prior food intake.

Duration: 3-8 hours until peak effects subside, several more until baseline is restored.

Low dose: 50mg of both DMT and Harmine

Medium (typical) dose: 100mg of both DMT and Harmine

High dose: 150+mg of DMT, 100mg of Harmine

-Be careful for drugs or foods interacting dangerously with any MAO-inhibitors.

-Only trip in a comfortable and positive environment.

Chemistry and Pharmacology

Production

DMT occurs naturally in several plants and may therefore be extracted from them with little chemistry knowledge, requiring no actual synthesis.

Plants containing DMT include Mimosa Hostilis, Psychotria viridis, Codariocalyx motorius and Phalaris arundinacea.
