4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine (2C-B) is a psychedelic drug of the 2C-X family.
History
2C-B was first synthesized in 1974 by Alexander Shulgin. It was first sold commercially as an aphrodisiac under the trade name "Eros" by the German pharmaceutical company Drittewell. From many years after it was available as tablets in Dutch smart shops under the name "Nexus".

2C-B is known as one of the safer psychedelics, with several reported cases of users far exceeding commonly used dosing limits without lasting adverse physical effects.
